Who we are
Hello, we are Liany and Wagner, a couple completely in love not only to travel but to plan trips and share our experiences. We met during a trip while Liany was doing an exchange program in Spain.
It was with the intention to tell a little bit of our experience out there that the blog “Mochilão a Dois” was born in March-2017.
We always loved reading travel blogs and we’ve always felt very grateful for the information collected. So, why not give it a little payback.
Telling what we like and what we do not like. Planning tips, what to do and one of the most helpful parts, costs! In all our travels, we always put how much we spend for you to have an idea. Our tips will usually be cheap travel, but each traveler gets more or less extrapolate depending on your style.
Who’s Who
Liany is a pharmacist and made his first independent trip in 2008 in an exchange program for the United States. Still very inexperienced but with very good stories to tell. She became an addict on trips after 2013 when she found out how to travel around cheaply and enjoying everything she could. Nowadays, she has visited 20 countries and 15 Brazilian states. She believes the journey begins long before the departure and enjoys every minute of the trip. She loves thinking about new destinations, researching, reading and seeing photos.
After the destination is decided, she spends hours in front of a computer reading about it. Discovering the history of the place and all the hidden things. When she is traveling, she likes to get lost out there and sit in a local hangout. And tries to feel like someone who lives there.
Wagner is a physicist and PhD in meteorology. He lived in Europe for 16 years, 10 in Ireland and 6 in England. He started to travel very early and has visited over 48 countries but the list of new places to visit only grows.
He is passionate about history and before his travels, he reads everything about the places, including important dates, local politics, geography, GDP and all that. Very independent at an early age, he can go practically anywhere, even without knowing the language.
Besides, he has an incredible memory, being able to give details of the trips he made at the age of 16.
We
We got married in 2017 and decided to leave our comfortable lives and our jobs for an adventure in the distant kingdom of Bhutan. Addicted by knowing new cultures, people, and traditions, we fond this an ideal place for one more phase of our lives!
We will always continue travelling and, if possible, sharing and helping all those with the same interests. After all, it is the experiences that we take to live!
